Decemeber 21st 2009
Hello,
My name is Tyler Hauth, and I currently reside in Terrebonne, a small town in the high desert of central Oregon. I was born in 1981, and am 28 years old to date. As a child I grew up all over the place and was fortunate to have the privilege of traveling around the world and visiting several other countries, including South Korea, Thailand, Brazil, etc. thanks to my dad who often worked and lived overseas.
Later in life after dropping out of high school and getting my G.E.D., I decided to get a college education, and in 2006 graduated from Linfield College with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management. During college my girlfriend at the time, now my wife Sarah and I decided to start a business known as Ego Industries, Inc. along with her dad Walt, who had been a machinist for roughly 20 years or so working at various companies, including Precision Cast Parts. The goal of Ego Industries was to produce finely machine tooled drum hardware for the music industry, and since then has proven to be a worthy risk as many famous drummers, radio and T.V. have ego hardware on there drums, whether they know it or not.
My obsession with J5 has been life long. Watching the movies as a child, to actually seeing one of the movie props in real life at an office building my dad once worked at. Never did I think it would be possible to actually build one for myself, until we started our company Ego Industries, in which I had the necessary CNC lathes and mills, not to mention the skills to operate them to cut precise metal parts. However, the one thing I did lack was information, blueprints, etc. So I started searching the internet trying to find every picture, every ounce of information that would help me build my very own J5. As a reader of this bio, you have probably already realized I hit a wall of nothing, until I found Input-Inc’s., website.
I am currently helping the team on various projects, such as machining parts needed for final assembly. My most recent project to date is the lip light box mold that was cut out of a large solid block of aluminum, which will be used for making carbon fiber lip light boxes.
I can’t thank Terry, Simon and Martin enough for allowing me to join the Input-Inc. team. It really means a lot to me and I definitely feel very privileged! I hope to help the team as many ways possible to turn this dream into a reality.
Signed,
Tyler Hauth
